Day 1 Flight to Calgary, AB
Featuring complimentary shuttles to Pearson Airport in Toronto, the day begins with a flight to Calgary, Alberta. Here we meet the Tour Director and Motor Coach, for a shuttle into the city. This evening we gather together for a group dinner. (D)
Day 2 Banff, AB
Breakfast is included this morning before we head to Heritage Park. We tour this facility for real life examples of the life during the late 19th century in a Western Canadian town. Then we have a guided city tour to see the “new” Calgary and learn more how this city became what it is today. Later we pass through Kananaskis country and enter the beautiful Banff National Park. The motor coach will take us on a quick drive down main street before we disembark. We spend the next two nights in Banff. (B)
Day 3 Banff, AB
A nice relaxing morning as we board the tour boat, for a cruise around Lake Minnewanka. The mountains appear to rise up all around us as we take pictures of the beautiful sights. This afternoon we view the beautiful mountains from a completely different angle, as we ride the Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain. A simply tremendous view! (B)
Day 4 Revelstoke, B.C.
Continuing into the heart of the amazing Rocky Mountains, we take time to visit charming Lake Louise. Then the highway twists and turns as we wind our way into the interior. This afternoon we visit the Revelstoke Railway Museum. Discover Canada’s history and railway heritage. (B,D)
Day 5 Merritt, B.C.
Today we pass through the world famous Okanagan Valley, with its rich and fertile farm lands that surround the large lake and produce a tremendous amount of fruit and vegetables. We enjoy a tour of the famous wineries and an included Lunch. Later we travel into the cattle ranching country and the community of Merritt for overnight. (B,L)
Day 6 Victoria, B.C.
The scenery keeps getting better today, as we travel to the mighty Fraser River and famous Fraser Canyon. Once aboard the Airtram, we descend into the canyon, referred to as “Hell’s Gate” by Simon Fraser in 1808. Here we are also served a delicious Lunch. Then we travel to the B.C. Ferry Dock at Vancouver, where we board the ferry to Vancouver Island. You’ll certainly be charmed as the ferry winds its way through the many islands, before docking in the charming community of Sidney. From here a short drive aboard the motor coach brings us into downtown Victoria. (B,L)
Day 7 Victoria, B.C.
As our accommodations are in downtown Victoria, we have easy access to the Inner Harbour area. Our day begins with a guided city tour of Victoria, before we enjoy a free afternoon in Victoria. You can enjoy Tea at the Empress Hotel or even the Royal B.C. Museum that preserves and shares the stories of the First Peoples, Natural History and unique occurrences that have made B.C. what she is to this day. (B)
Day 8 Vancouver, B.C.
This morning we visit the famous Butchart Gardens offering a delight for our senses of both sight and smell! Now a designated National Historic site, these 55 acres of amazing gardens have been delighting visitors since the early 1900’s. Later we board the ferry to return to the great coastal city of Vancouver. (B)
Day 9 Vancouver, B.C.
We begin our day with a locally guided tour of Vancouver seeing the unique sights of Gastown, Stanley Park, Chinatown and much more. In the afternoon, we visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge, before returning to the hotel to freshen up for a final evening Dinner together as a group! (B,D)
Day 10 Vancouver to Toronto
Today we bid farewell to the amazing scenery of Canada’s West Coast and board our flight home to Toronto. Here we are met by our shuttles that return us home. (B)
