Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Ottawa, ON

Today we take in the spectacular fall colour as we travel through the Kawartha Lakes on our way to Ottawa and the Outaouais Region. We settle in for a four night stay at the beautiful Lord Elgin Hotel, downtown Ottawa.

Day 2 Gatineau, QC

Today we explore Gatineau Park, a 363 square kilometer area between the Gatineau and Ottawa Rivers. We’ll make a number of stops including Champlain Lookout. There will be some free time in the picturesque town of Wakefield before continuing our journey to the Mackenzie King Estate. For nearly fifty years, the Estate served as the summer residence of Mackenzie King, Canada’s tenth and longest serving Prime Minister. Enjoy a self-guided tour of the estate, flower gardens and his picturesque collection of stone ruins. (B)

Day 3 Gatineau, QC

A free morning to visit the attraction of your choice. Early afternoon takes us to Montebello and Chocomotive, a craft chocolate factory in the former Montebello Railway station. Wander the quaint village before we head back to Ottawa this evening attend Oh Canada Eh Dinner Show. (B,D)

Day 4 Gatineau, QC

This morning we visit the Canadian Museum of Nature. Be amazed and inspired by Canada’s Nature. Discover Canada’s diverse nature, housed in a “historic” castle downtown Ottawa. After lunch on your own, we enjoy a delightful narrated sightseeing cruise on the Ottawa River. Balance of afternoon is free to explore Ottawa on your own. Farewell Dinner is included this evening at our hotel. (B,D)

Day 5 Home

This morning we begin our journey home after our visit to the unspoiled regions of the Outaouais! (B)
