Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Ottawa, ON

Today we take in the spectacular fall colour as we travel through the Kawartha Lakes on our way to Ottawa and the Outaouais Region. We settle in for a four night stay at the beautiful Lord Elgin Hotel, downtown Ottawa. **Update. Due to the extended closure of the Lord Elgin Hotel beyond Sep 1, our group will now be staying at the Hilton Lac Leamy for 4 nights.

Day 2 Gatineau, QC

Following breakfast, we visit the Canadian Museum of Nature. Discover Canada's diverse nature, housed in a "historic" castle downtown Ottawa. Lunch is included before we explore Gatineau Park, a 363 square kilometer area between the Gatineau and Ottawa Rivers. We'll make a number of stops including Champlain Lookout. There will be some free time in the picturesque town of Wakefield before continuing our journey to the Mackenzie King Estate. Next we stop at the Gatineau Park Visitor Centre before our return to our hotel. (B,L)

Day 3 Gatineau, QC

This morning a scenic drive through the Outaouais region takes us to Montebello and Chocomotive, a craft cholate factory in the former Montebello Railway station. After our tour and tastings, we continue to Mont-Tremblant. Climb to the top of Mont-Tremblant aboard the Panoramic gondola. Feast your eyes on the scenery as you ride to the summit. Enjoy breathtaking views of Lac Tremblant, the Laurentians and the surrounding valleys. Once you are on the top, you will also enjoy an observation tower. Lunch is included today. After some time to enjoy the area, we make our way , taking an alternate route to further enjoy the fall colours, back to Gatineau. (B,L)

Day 4 Gatineau, QC

This morning we board our cruise of the Ottawa River. Enjoy the passing fall scenery and the beautiful landscapes of Ottawa. Some free time downtown, then late afternoon, see Ottawa by land, with a guided tour of the city. Tonight, an included dinner. (B,D)

Day 5 Home

This morning we begin our journey home after our visit to the unspoiled regions of the Outaouais! (B)
