Day 1 Marshall, MIchigan

From our many southern Ontario joining points, we gather together and cross the border at Sarnia/Port Huron. Our first stop will be in Jackson, for a unique historic Jackson Prison Tour. Experience intriguing tales of prison life, crime, corruption, colorful inmates, wardens, night-keepers, and reforms. Witness what solitary confinement held in store for those who disobeyed and the types of punishments meted out to others. We check into our hotel in Marshall for the next 2 nights. Dinner included this evening. (D)

Day 2 Marshall, MI

A casual morning breakfast before we make our way to the Gilmore Car Museum, where we see an amazing display of over 300 vintage cars and motorcycles. After lunch we continue to Kellogg Manor for a guided tour. The Manor is rich in history and takes you to another era. Next, we travel the short distance to the Kalamazoo Air Zoo. The Air Zoo holds many historical and rare aircraft, including the world's fastest air-breathing aircraft, the SR-71B Blackbird. Many of its antique planes are airworthy. Return to hotel to freshen up before departing for Cornwell’s Dinner Theatre and an evening of fun, good food and laughter. (B,D)

Day 3 Dearborn, MI

After breakfast, our first stop today is the Critchlow Alligator Sanctuary. See the world’s smartest gator’s as they are not only taught their names but also how to respond to several different word commands, colors, and objects. Next, we head to Dearborn and the Ford Rouge Factory. Start to finish, the Ford Rouge Factory Tour offers awe-inspiring encounters with America’s celebrated manufacturing past, present, and future. Overnight in Dearborn. (B)

Day 4 Home

Our adventure is not over yet! Today before we head back to our joining points, we have included a tour at the Henry Ford Museum. A vibrant exploration of genius in all its forms, Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation allows you to experience the strides of America’s greatest minds while fully immersing yourself in their stories. Step inside the bus where Rosa Parks took a stand by taking a seat. Play pilot as you explore flight innovations, starting with the Wright brothers' achievements, or make yourself at home inside Buckminster Fuller’s circular Dymaxion House. Early afternoon we stop at Duty Free and cross back into Canada. We hope you enjoyed the hidden gems. (B)
