New England Cape Cod

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Southern Ontario to Latham, NY

Join us this morning as we board our motor coach to the famous New England area. We travel the Niagara Peninsula and into New York State to the Albany area for overnight.

Day 2 Cape Cod, MA

Following your included Breakfast this morning, you are enroute to the "City-by-the-Sea" -- Newport, Rhode Island -- America's first resort. Here we proceed down 10-mile Drive, lined with many of the famous and opulent mansions which were "summer cottages" for the elite families of Newport. A tour of The Breakers is planned. History buffs and dreamers of the Gilded Age and the Great Gatsby days will be astounded by The Breakers which was built for Cornelius Vanderbilt and styled after a northern Italian Palazzo. It contains seventy-two rooms, many of them unequaled in magnificence in the United States. You will be at your leisure for lunch and shopping along the waterfront at Bowen's Wharf and Bannister's Wharf. Working commercial fishermen and their boats as well as yachts nearby lend a salty look to the area. Late day we continue to beautiful Cape Cod. We stay on Cape Cod for four nights at the beautiful Aiden Cape Point Hotel or Cape Codder Resort! (B,D)

Day 3 Choice of Whale Watching or a Dune Tour

Breakfast included this morning at our hotel. Today we will travel on Historic Route 6A and visit the Cape Cod National Seashore Visitor Center. Then we travel to Provincetown, at the extreme end of Cape Cod. Formerly known as the “Province Lands”, the Pilgrims landed here first before they decided to settle across the bay in Plymouth. A highlight today is a Whale Watching Cruise. Bring your camera to capture the beautiful coastline and the “gentle giants” of the sea as you cruise Cape Cod Bay, OR you may prefer to stay on dry land and choose an afternoon Dune tour. Ride through the protected lands of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Your guide will point out “dune shacks” and other items of interest. Dinner on your own this evening in Provincetown. (B)

Day 4 Cape Cod

Breakfast is served today prior to our local Cape Cod guide taking us on a tour of the Hyannis area including the John F Kennedy Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, Hyannisport and a view of St. Francis Xavier Church. Included today is admission to the Whydah Pirate Museum (only authenticated pirate ship). Free afternoon and evening to enjoy Hyannis or relax at your hotel. (B)

Day 5 Martha's Vineyard

Today we go to the Hy-Line Docks to board a ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. Upon arrival, we board a local bus for a sightseeing tour. Free time for lunch and shopping in Edgartown. We return back to Cape Cod and tonight enjoy a Lobster Dinner! (alternate meal available) (B,D)

Day 6 West Springfield, MA

Breakfast included before our departure for America’s Home Town-Plymouth where a picture stop will be made at the Plymouth Rock, Forefather’s Monument and the Mayflower II. Next we travel to Boston for a city tour. Enjoy free time for shopping and lunch on your own at Quincy Market, next to historic Faneuil Hall. Our departure from Boston takes us across the state of Massachusetts, to our overnight accommodation in West Springfield. Our farewell dinner will give us time to reflect on the many sites and new memories we have enjoyed. (B,D)

Day 7 Home

Through New York State today, a short stop at the duty free store, prior to our return to Ontario. (B)
