Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Prince Edward County, ON

We set our sights on Prince Edward County, beginning with lunch at the Big Apple. Our first visit is the Ameliasburgh Heritage Village, a pioneer village. Enjoy the scenery as we make our way across Prince Edward County to The Lake on the Mountain. The lake is a natural curiosity with a constant flow of clean, fresh water, with no apparent source and sits 60 metres above Lake Ontario offering magnificent views. Before checking into The Waring House, we have a tasting at Kinsip Distillery. Kinsip House of Fine Spirits is a farm-based, grain-to-glass distillery. All of their products are fermented, distilled, and aged onsite. Dinner included at hotel. (L,D)

Day 2 Home

We begin our day with breakfast before a visit to Laundry Farm stand. Landry knows produce: the offerings include veggies, such as squash, peppers, onions, potatoes and apples and a splendid selection of pumpkins, jams and honey. From here we travel to Prince Edward County Lavender, a grower, distiller and crafter of fine lavender products. Our last stop before leaving is Campbells' Orchard, where you will have the opportunity to purchase apples, pears and sweet cider. As we head toward home, our final stop this afternoon will be at Parkwood Estate. Step back in time and experience the home of the late R.S. McLaughlin, Canadian auto baron and founder of General Motors of Canada. Inspired by early 20th century Beaux-Arts design, this 15,000 square foot, 55-room mansion was built between 1915 and 1917. The art, architecture, gardens, landscaping and original furnishings are all faithfully preserved in this National Historic Site. (B)
